Elabd is the CEO of G-WDT. He was born in Cairo,
Egypt and educated in Egypt, Germany and USA. He
received his B.Sc. Electronic Engineering from Cairo University.
He
received his Ph.D. from RPI in 1979. He joined the
graduate schools of Perdue University and Monmouth College and participated in
engineering and MBA courses. | Dr.
Elabd worked on Integrated Circuits development, Telecom and Imaging systems design
at Western Data & Telephone, RealChip Communications, Fairchild, RCA Laboratories,
Lockheed Martin, Loral, and Brown Boveri AG.
He
also consulted with various corporations on Wired and Wireless Communications,
Television, Imaging and Patent law. | | He
has been a part time member of the academic staff of Santa Clara University, San
Jose State University, Golden Gate University and Monmouth College. |
| He is a distinguished lecturer
in the Department of Electronics Engineering of the American University in Cairo,

Dr. Elabd has published widely in
Journals and conference proceedings. He has also
contributed a chapter to an engineering handbook.
He
was awarded 26 US patents and published 75 technical publications. His inventions
described the design of novel visible and infrared image sensors, cameras, image-processing
systems, Multi threaded memory systems, DSP farms with algorithm accelerators,
and DSP load management systems for VoIP applications. more
